Sweet sour meatball


This dish definitely will be kids' favourite, because of the sweet sour sauce.

you can serve it with white rice or spaghetti.


这是一道绝对深受小朋友喜欢的菜色

可配合白饭或意大利面食用。


Ingredients:

300g minced pork

Carrot (chopped)

3 pieces Chinese mushroom (chopped)

2 small red onions (chopped)

3 teaspoon tapioca flour

Salt

A dash of pepper

1 egg (beat)

1 bowl Wheat flour


材料:

300克猪肉碎

红萝卜(剁碎)

三朵香菇(剁碎)

2粒小红葱 (剁碎)

2茶匙薯粉

胡椒粉

打好的鸡蛋

1碗面粉

Sweet sour sauce:

2 spoon tomato sauce

1 spoon chili sauce

1 spoon oyster sauce

2 spoon lemon juice (can be replaced with lime juice)

2 teaspoon honey

2 teaspoon light soy bean sauce

1 teaspoon shao xing wine


酸甜酱:

2 汤匙番茄酱

1 汤匙辣椒酱

1 汤匙蚝油

2 汤匙柠檬汁 (可以酸柑汁取代)

2 茶匙蜜糖

2 茶匙酱青

1 茶匙绍兴酒

Methods:

1. Mix up all the ingredients (except the egg and wheat flour) and knead it into balls.

2. Dip the meatballs into beaten egg and roll it with wheat flour.

3. Heat up the wok and pour some cooking oil into it.

4. Deep fry the meatball for 10-15 minutes.

5. Put aside and drip dry the oil.

6. Pour out the oil and wash the wok before start to prepare the sweet sour sauce.

7. Heat up the wok and drizzle a little bit of oil.

8. Put in all the sauces and add in some water.

9. Turn into slow fire and stir it until it become sticky.

10. At last, put in the fried meatballs and stir fry it. (about 30 seconds is enough)

做法:

1. 将肉碎和其它剁碎的材料混合在一起(除了鸡蛋和面粉),搓成肉丸。

2.将肉丸蘸上蛋汁,滚上面粉。

3. 热锅,倒入适量食油。

4. 将肉丸放入锅中油炸,大约10-15分钟。

5. 将炸好的肉丸取出,滴干油份。

6. 准备酱料之前,先将锅洗净。

7. 热锅,加入少许食油。

8. 将准备好的酱料倒入锅中,加入少许水。

9. 转小火,不停翻搅酱料,直到呈浓稠状。

10. 最后,把炸好的肉丸加入拌炒半分钟,即可取出。

Steamed pork ribs with bean sauce




Ingredients:
300g pork ribs (cut into 2 inches long for each)
1 tomato (cubed)
5 chinese mushrooms (quarted)
A handful wolfberries
Ginger (shredded)

材料:
300克排骨 (切成约两寸长)
1颗番茄 (切块)
5朵香菇 (切成四瓣)
枸杞
姜(切丝)


Marinade:
2 tab spoon bean sauce
1 tab spoon oyster sauce
2 teaspoon light soybean sauce
1 teaspoon dark soybean sauce
2 teaspoon shao xing wine
1 teaspoon seasame oil
Garlic (chopped)
1 tab spoon corn flour

腌料:
2汤匙豆酱
1汤匙蚝油
2茶匙酱青
1茶匙酱油
2茶匙绍兴酒
1茶匙麻油
蒜蓉
1汤匙蜀米粉

Methods:
1. Marinate the pork ribs for 20 minutes.
2. Soak the Chinese mushroom in warm water for 15 minutes before cut it.
3. Place and arrange all the ingredients into a plate.
4. Steam for 30 minutes.
5. Furnishing it with some Chinese celery or spring onion when served.

做法:
1. 把腌料加入排骨,腌大约20分钟。
2. 香菇切块前,先泡入温水约15分钟。
3. 把所有的材料排列到准备好的盘子。
4. 放入锅,蒸30分钟。
5. 将排骨取出,撒上芹菜或青葱点缀即可。

Beancurd salted mustard cabbage soup




It is definitely a simple soup, if you are still a learner or you got no much time to prepare a soup.
so i rather call it as a instant soup, which it may only costs you 20 minutes to prepare it.

这是一道很简单的汤,最适合初学者,又或者你必须在短时间内做一道汤,咸菜豆腐汤最适合不过。所以,我喜欢把它叫做“快熟汤”,20分钟你就可以把它搞定。

Ingredients:

1 box of smooth bean curd (cut into bites size)

1 packet of salted mustard cabbage

1 tomato (quartered)

100g fishballs

50g minced pork meat

1.5 liter filtered water


材料
一盒鲜滑豆腐(切成块状)
一包咸菜
一颗番茄 (切块)
100克鱼丸
50克猪肉碎
1.5公升过滤水

Methods:

1. Cut the salted mustard cabbage into bites size. Soak in warm water for 10 minutes to rid excessive saltiness, drain and set aside.

2. Fill a soup pot with 1.5 liter filtered water, bring to boil.

3. When the water is boiling, put in the salted mustard cabbage, smooth bean curd and tomato.

4. After that, put in the fishballs and minced pork meat.

5. Let it boil another 5 minutes.

6. Add some salt if not salty enough. (usually not needed, because the salted mustard cabbage is enough to flavor the soup)

7. Served in a big soup bowl and furnish it with some garlic oil and spring onions

方法:
1. 把咸菜切成块状,浸在温水中约十分钟,滤干待用。

2.将汤锅装入1.5公升的水,煮沸。

3.水煮沸后,将切好的咸菜,豆腐和番茄加入。

4.过后,加入鱼丸和肉碎。

5.当所有材料加入后,让汤再滚多五分钟。

6.可加入适量海盐调味。

7.将汤盛入大碗中,加上葱油和青葱装饰。

WHY u should know how to cook?

Most of the teenagers and youngsters will ask:
why need cook yourself? my mummy will cook for me or go outside buy lar, why make myself so difficult to cook?
Then come out with a bundles of excuses, i.e wasting time, dirty, lazy............

Thus, be the 1st post in my kitchen, i would like to show you WHY you should know how to cook and why you should cook yourself.The leading role today is just a pack of instant noodle.Let's us come and take a look!

Reason 1 You can make the differences



Oh ya, this is your noodles look alike, the instant noodles u always do- put the noodles in a bowl > pour some boiling water into it > wait 2 minutes > eat.

How about the look of your noodles if you mastering cooking skill?



It looks different, right? I can put all my favourite ingredients inside, carrot, mushroom, meat, vege and egg. i bet you all are able to do better than me by make it into seafood maggi mee, wanton maggi mee etc. The mamak's chef won't be so nice to ask you what u want to put in your maggi soup, ok?

Reason 2 You pay less by cooking yourself

i have done a survey on the price of maggi soup in KL's area, you know how much i spend just for a bowl of plain maggi mee? The range is between RM2.50- RM4.00~ unbelievable costly where a packet of maggi mee is less than RM 1.00.

Mamak recipe: maggi+egg+vege (RM 0.70+RM 0.30+ RM 0.50= RM1.50), but they charge us at least RM2.50~

Your recipe: maggi+ egg+ vege+ meat/seafood (RM0.70+RM0.30+RM0.50+RM1.00=RM2.50)

i bet you all are clever enough to see the difference, so why don't make your own a bowl of special maggi soup?

Reason 3 there is no time restriction

Maybe you will tell me: "even mamak not nice, i can ask my mummy to cook one for me ar~"
But how if you study till midnight,
and you suddenly feel hungry,
while your dear mummy is in her sweet dream and the mamak stall is closing?
That is the time to show your culinary skill lar, you can cook whenever you want to, even at 3am where nobody will care about your hungriness, and you really have to settle it yourself.
